Behind the scenes

As an autistic person, I have always been fascinated by the process behind the creations I see. Let it be a book, a picture, a cake or an airplane.

For this reason, I plan to be transparent with my work behind the scenes amid gatekeeping, misconceptions and mystery. I will treat you as I wish to be treated as a reader. I won’t keep secrets, I won’t stay mysterious. I will give you all the juicy details you ask (or don’t ask) for. Actually, ‌don’t hesitate to message and ask me anything you are curious about.

I received plenty of advice to stay professional, to think of my image, to show confidence and to keep a distance. But I can’t do that.

The entire reason for the Anthara project is to find a place where I can put myself out without the need to censor or soften my truth.

Without wasting my energy on masking and constantly scanning for expectations and figuring out how to fulfill them.

So I will be transparent. I will share my process, progress, my struggles and fears. Technically, mentally, practically, psychologically, whatever comes up.

This is an invitation. An open door. You are free to step through it, free to leave, and free to return, if you wish. Because your agency matters.

Reading is not a race, a competition or a performance. Writing shouldn’t be either.

Both exist to bring joy, relief, healing, entertainment, escape from reality or just a chance to relax. You read for yourself and not for others. Once you have to force yourself to keep up with trends or expectations, it has lost its meaning.

I truly hope that my world will give something to you. Whether it's simple entertainment or something deeper.
